How This Works

No pressure. No surprises. A clear path from where you are to where you need to be.

A plain-language overview of what it actually looks like to work with the practice, from the first call to a finished resolution.

  1. 01

    Tell me what happened

It starts with a short phone call or message. You explain the situation in plain language. No intake packet, no forms, and no judgment about how things got here. I have heard every version of this story, and yours will not shock me. If there is a letter, have it nearby. The letter usually tells me more in thirty seconds than an hour of worry can. If there is no letter, just years of not filing or a balance that keeps growing, that is fine too. Start where you are. By the end of that first conversation you will know whether you have a problem worth hiring someone for, and I will tell you plainly if you do not.
  2. 02

    I map the options

With your authorization, I pull your IRS transcripts and see exactly what the IRS sees: what is filed, what is owed, what penalties are stacked where, and what clocks are running. Most people have never seen their own file. Most tax problems look different once someone has. Then I lay out the realistic paths. Not the menu of everything that exists, but the two or three that fit your facts, with the honest limits of each, including the options that do not involve paying me. You will find that same honesty on every resolution page on this site. You decide which path we take. It is your case and your money, and you will understand both before anything moves.
  3. 03

    We move together

Once we agree on the path and the scope, I do the work. I handle the IRS correspondence, the filings, and the phone calls. You stay informed at every step, and nothing gets submitted without you understanding what it is and why. One thing I will not do is pretend the IRS moves fast. It does not. Some resolutions take weeks, some take months, and a few take longer than that. What you get from me is a straight answer about the timeline up front and updates as it actually progresses, not silence punctuated by invoices.

What this is not

No countdown clocks. No scare calls. No surprise add-ons. No handing your case to someone you have never met. One next step at a time, each one explained before it happens.

If that sounds unremarkable, it should. This is what professional service is supposed to look like. The fact that it stands out in this industry tells you everything about the industry.
